Description
Young readers will be enthralled by twenty-six uncommon dinosaurs, whose names each start with a different letter of the alphabet. Readers will smile at the charming artwork that depicts these unusual creatures of ancient times. This is truly a book that grows with a child. A preschooler will learn to recognize the alphabet, and can use the phonetic guide to pronounce difficult- sounding dinosaur names. Older children will learn about the different flora and fauna that grew during the different geological periods. The stark difference between the present day world and the world inhabited by the dinosaurs is clearly portrayed in simple English. A two-page spread discusses the different types of dinosaurs and a pictorial appendix explains how dinosaurs are named.
