Classes
Lekha School of Creative Writing holds several kinds of classes during the year. This fall we are holding our regular Creative and Critical writing classes during after school hours. During the summer we hold camps that run the entire day. In addition to these we hold workshops throughout the Bay Area.
Creative Writing
Our Creative Writing courses focus on developing our students' creativity. We use illustration, free writing, and several other techniques to help students overcome writer's block and write the kind of stories they want to write. Students in Creative Writing will learn about stories, poems, and plays.
Critical Writing
Our Critical Writing courses focus on helping students develop their essays. We cover several different kinds of essays including, persuasive, expository, and narrative. We also teach courses on presentation and journalism to help show students the possiblities of nonfiction writing.
